IT Certifications. Are they worth it?

Thinking of getting IT certification? There are hundreds of them to choose from. There Oracle Certified Professional, Cisco Certified Network Professional, Java-programmer certification, Microsoft certified systems engineer. This is only a small sampling from different they are. There are obvious drawbacks to obtain certification. The most common of them find time to study, the pain of having to memorize pages and pages of information you need to spend money on books and learning. Therefore, the question is, in fact, is becoming deducted? Even with all its shortcomings, I believe the benefits of certification more than make up for his drawbacks.
One of the biggest advantages, of course, money. It is probably the main reason why become certified specialists. In the end, what is the point of all efforts, if not monetary compensation involved? The amount you receive depends on many factors. Will you seek a new job as soon as you become deducted? Does your current employer automatically raise wages because of the certification? It is difficult to obtain certification? Even if you get the compensation depends on many factors, all studies show that on average, certified individuals to earn more money than those without any certification. You always learn something new. Regardless of how much you believe in yourself as an expert. When studying for certification, you always learn something new. It is impossible to know everything, regardless of what your knowledge. However, in examining these exams, need to examine every single detail. So you inevitably come across something you did not know before. And the more you know the more you become an expert. Another big benefit is that employers will choose for you someone with similar qualifications. Obviously, if you have 5 years experience, and someone else has 15 years of experience, you difficult to convince someone that you know more than the other guy. But when competing with someone with similar with your qualifications, it makes sense that employers will choose the person who can prove through certification that they have the knowledge necessary for the position. Continue to remain relevant in a rapidly changing business. It what you know now, will probably be obsolete in a couple of years. What would you learned in school, probably does not apply today. Certification is a tool that can be used to help you stay so far in this ever-changing industry. Increase your self-esteem, knowing that you have mastered the subject that few others have mastered. You may also find that you earn a little extra respect from your co-workers and even family and friends. He always encouraged to see a person who continues to study whether what point in their career they in.
